Proplex FR HD is now available to all Protec International Ltd customers

Protec International Ltd are proud to announce the launch of their new extra tough hard-wearing temporary protection sheets, Proplex® FR HD. Proplex® FR HD has been uniquely engineered to absorb shocks, knocks or bangs in order to protect and surface which might be susceptible to impact damage.

Sheffield (PRWEB UK) 22 July 2016

Ordinarily, timber products are used to cover the floors on a building site, however these are difficult to cut to size, get damaged by moisture and are crushed and broken by heavy traffic. Proplex FR HD provides a sustainable alternative to timber and plywood, and as the only product of its type to be LPCB approved and meet the requirements of the Joint Code of Practice, it has many benefits:

  • Won't warp/leech colour when exposed to moisture unlike timber products
  • Reusable/recyclable and manufactured in a zero waste UK facility
  • Cost, carbon and resource efficient temporary protection solution
  • Opaque white colour
  • Contains post industrial recycled component
  • Can be custom printed

The sheet is manufactured from a high density 1200gsm Flame Retardant polypropylene and the twinwall structure of the sheet is designed to give the sheet greater compression and impact resistance than the standard Proplex sheets. This means that the sheet will not collapse or crush when it has heavy weight on it, making it just as well suited to heavy vehicular traffic as it is impact from height.

To test this theory, Protec used a 44 tonne articulated lorry to test the strength of the sheet and its exceptional internal structure:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YMTHdRdH04A

Unlike traditional heavy weight timber protection products, Proplex® FR HD is easy to cut on site without creating harmful dust, as well as being lightweight and easy to handle. The versatile nature of the product also means that it is suitable for much more than just flooring:

  • Walls
  • Cladding
  • Glazing
  • Swimming Pools
  • Stonework
  • Walkways
  • Doors
  • Under Scissor Lifts
  • Scaffold Towers

With site safety being a paramount concern, it is difficult to overlook the benefits offered by this product.

Darren Moore, Managing Director of Protec International Ltd, said: “Flame Retardant certificated temporary protection materials are far from being a new concept in construction. Since the first release of the Joint Code of Practice, which is backed by the major insurers, the industry has longed for an approved product that is capable of standing up to everything that a modern construction site can throw at it. To satisfy this demand, we are launching Proplex FR HD, already proven to withstand the heaviest of site traffic.”

Crowley Maritime Corp.’s Thomas B. Crowley Sr. Memorial Scholarships are helping to further educational opportunities for two students of the Great Lakes Maritime Academy (GLMA). Crowley recently awarded scholarships to Matthew C. DuBon from South Carolina and Clayton Riley Harbin from California, based on their excellent grades, leadership ability and financial need.

DuBon, a sophomore, is seeking a bachelor’s degree in marine transportation and a U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) third mate unlimited license. This summer, he plans to work for a small towing company on the St. Lawrence Seaway in Clayton, N.Y., where he spent 30 seasons boating recreationally. DuBon became intrigued by the challenge of marine towing when he and his father towed a 22-foot Sea Ray with a 13-foot Boston Whaler when he was only eight.

Harbin, an incoming freshmen, is also seeking a bachelor’s degree in marine transportation and a USCG third mate unlimited license. Upon graduation, he wants to pursue a towing career. Harbin’s fascination with the towing industry was sparked early in life as he grew up near the Pacific Ocean, often performing routine maintenance and helping replace components on his family’s boat. While there, he frequently watched tugs move large barges near the Port of Long Beach.

Since 1984, Crowley has provided more than $3 million dollars in scholarship funding for more than 1,000 students. The company has also donated more than $2 million over the years to support other educational programs. In 1994, Chairman and CEO Tom Crowley Jr. established the Thomas B. Crowley Sr. Memorial Scholarship Program in honor of his father who led the company to extraordinary heights before passing away in 1994. The company continues to give scholarship dollars to deserving students in the U.S., Alaska and Puerto Rico. In 2006, the program was expanded to Central America, and to date has provided financial assistance to more than 20 students in that region. Small ships garner multiple awards in 2016 from other top travel outlets including Condé Nast Traveler, Cruise Critic, and BRIDES

Seattle, WA (PRWEB) July 21, 2016

Boutique cruise line Windstar Cruises recently landed on two “World’s Best” lists, named both #3 World’s Best Small Ship Cruise Line and #3 World's Best Medium Cruise Line in Travel + Leisure’s annual readers’ awards. Voters specifically recognized Windstar ship staff for their high level of service standards.

Windstar’s five small ships garnered a top three spot among Small-Ship Ocean Cruise Lines (249 or fewer passengers) with a voter score of 92.98. Windstar’s Wind Surf also claimed third for Midsize-Ship Ocean Cruise Lines (250 to 599 passengers) scoring 93.40 — within 1.61 points of the top mark.

“The ongoing recognition Windstar has experienced over the last few years by readers who enjoy and use the tips and information found in these expert travel publications inspires us to bring even more to the table for our cruisers,” commented John Delaney, president of Windstar Cruises.

“These awards are also a direct testament to the unequivocal, personal-touch service that cruisers receive when they step aboard any of our six Windstar yachts. Our ship staff and back-of-house operations teams are simply the best! We share these honors with every one of them including our travel agent and shore-side partners who help craft each day of your cruise vacation into a series of wonderful experiences and events that you’ll never forget,” shared Delaney.

As a market leader in boutique, small ship cruising, Windstar prides itself on consistently high levels of guest service and satisfaction, for which the crew of all ships were specifically recognized for their exemplary skills as noted in the article accompanying the World’s Best Medium Cruise Line Award.

T+L Editor Jacqueline Gifford noted, “Windstar Cruises — which placed third and operates one of the world’s largest sail-assisted passenger ships, the Wind Surf — also prioritizes more exclusive experiences and ports. But one could argue that interacting with the staff can be the true highlight of the trip.”

The annual editor-designed World’s Best Awards survey asks readers to weigh in on travel experiences from around the globe. For the cruise category, respondents rated individual cruise ships on their cabins, facilities, food, service, itineraries and destinations, excursions and activities, and value.

Over the course of 2016, Windstar Cruises has received other notable awards including:

  • Condé Nast Traveler – 2016 21st Annual Gold List of “Our Favorite Cruise Lines”
  • BRIDES Magazine – Top 10 Cruise Lines for Couples, 2016
  • Celebrated Living – Named to American Airline’s in-flight magazine Celebrated Living for their 2016 Platinum List, “Best Boutique Cruises”
  • Cruise Critic Online – Cruise Critic Cruisers’ Choice Awards 2016, Best Service on Star Breeze
  • Cruiseable Online - Best Cruise Lines for Honeymoons Award, 2016
  • Smarter Travel Online – 10 Best Cruise Lines for Foodies, Windstar Cruises James Beard Foundation Culinary Cruise

World Patent Marketing Reviews A New Electronic Invention. Will KidTube Be the Next World Patent Marketing Low Cost Success Story?

Miami, FL (PRWEB) July 22, 2016

World Patent Marketing, a vertically integrated manufacturer and engineer of patented products, announces KidTube, a app invention which gives children a kid-friendly medium to connect to the World Wide Web.

"The Internet Publishing and Broadcasting industry is worth $45 billion a year," says Scott Cooper, CEO and Creative Director of World Patent Marketing. "Revenue is set to accelerate further as practically everything transitions to the internet."

“The internet allows people to connect with one another even if they are half-way around the globe,” says Jerry Shapiro, Director of Manufacturing and World Patent Marketing Inventions. “It has also given people a new type of medium to consume various kinds of media such as videos, games, etc. However, the internet isn’t a safe place for children so parents need to constantly monitor their children’s internet activities. KidTube gives children a safe-zone where they can surf the internet without parents having to worry about what they see and experience.”

KidTube allows kids to surf the net freely and removes all the unsafe content. There are many unsafe elements in the internet for kids ranging from videos that with mature content features sex and violence to other people who are looking to prey on innocent children. Parents don’t have to constantly monitor and police and their children since all the content in this application are curated to be kid-friendly and safe.

“I am a mother of 5 children and I can't ever give my children Electronics without worries and supervision,” says inventor Elizabeth K. “KidTube is an app that allows kids to be kids and gives them their childhood freedom. It gives parents peace of mind while their kids play and surf on the net.”

Harold Ellsworth, a parent blogger from Knoxville, TN, has this to say about KidTube: “There are many reports of criminal minds attacking our kids on the internet. There are some that trick children into getting their parent’s credit card details or pedophiles that ask for our kid’s address. The internet is a scary place for children so they need to be constantly supervised. This defeats the purpose of allowing kids to have fun on the net. KidTube returns their freedom to explore without worries since all the content are curated to be kid-friendly. This decreases the workload of the parent since they will no longer have to police their children every time. This invention isn’t just for the kids as the parents will also have more time to do other things since they don’t have to constantly monitor what the kids are doing online.”

KidTube aims to make the internet a safer place for children all over the world. Kids should be kids and they should be allowed to explore and have fun without worries.

World Patent Marketing Reviews A New Electronic Invention. Will Blue-Fi Be the Next World Patent Marketing Low Cost Success Story?

Miami, FL (PRWEB) July 22, 2016

World Patent Marketing, a vertically integrated manufacturer and engineer of patented products, announces Blue-Fi, a wireless Bluetooth charging device for the car and home that can charge electronic devices from a distance.

"The Electronics industry is worth $224 billion," says Scott Cooper, CEO and Creative Director of World Patent Marketing. "The Blue-Fi is a convenient invention that will allow consumers to get more enjoyment out of their electronics more easily.”

“Mobile devices have become a more and more integral part of everyone's daily lives,” says Jerry Shapiro, Director of Manufacturing and World Patent Marketing Inventions. “One unfortunate element of this is that most of these devices are being used so often that they quickly run out of energy and the user must stop what they’re doing to charge the battery. Blue-Fi is a device that addresses this issue.”

Blue-Fi is a wireless charging station that charges a device such as a phone or a tablet from up to 30 feet away. Blue-Fi works from a car or from the home and can connect to a phone through wifi or Bluetooth. It will then charge the device remotely and can support up to three devices at a time. The device can still connect to wifi normally while being connected to Blue-Fi.

“I am very excited for what Blue-Fi can do for an everyday person whether they are on the go or at home.” says inventor Bryan C, “With a truly wireless charging experience without charging pads, the user can keep his or her devices fully charged throughout a busy day. The user will have the convenience of charging their devices within 30 feet of the charging station. If you need more than one device that needs charging, Blue-Fi can charge up to 3 devices at one time in a home or vehicle.”

Lynn Saunders, a marketing specialist in North Carolina, had this to say about the Blue-Fi: “My phone battery is the bane of my existence. I swear this thing doesn’t last longer than 4 hours. The Blue-Fi is the perfect invention for me since it lets me take my charging on the go.”

The Blue-Fi is an electronic invention that will change the way people charge their devices.
