Forcura One of Inc. Magazine’s Best Workplaces 2018

Forcura is one of the highest-scoring businesses with standout employee engagement.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (PRWEB) May 24, 2018

Forcura has been named one of Inc. Magazine’s Best Workplaces for 2018, the publication’s third annual ranking in the fast-growing private company sector.

Hitting newsstands today in the June 2018 issue, and as part of a prominent inc.com feature, the award is the result of a wide-ranging and comprehensive measurement of private American companies who have created exceptional workplaces through vibrant cultures, deep employee engagement, and stellar benefits. Out of thousands of applicants, Inc. singled out just under 300 winning companies.

Built in partnership with employee engagement and work culture experts Quantum Workplace of Omaha, NE, Inc.’s Best Workplaces list is a magnifying glass on how innovative companies can truly raise the bar in hiring and retaining the best talent.

What does it take to become a company that workers want to be part of? Inc. magazine says it’s more than good pay and good perks – it’s also about having a clear purpose, a sense of humor, and leadership that makes them all work together.

“As the Founder of Forcura, one of my goals has always been to create a goal-oriented culture that fosters a sense of purpose and camaraderie,” said Craig Mandeville, Forcura CEO. “This award is an external acknowledgement that our internal culture is one of our biggest differentiators. You do your best work when you love what you are doing and know you are contributing to the overall success of the team.”

The 2018 Inc. Best Workplaces Awards assessed applicants on the basis of benefits offered and employees’ responses to a unique, 30-question survey fielded by each of the applying companies. Responses were evaluated by the research team at Quantum Workplace. For its results to qualify, each company had to achieve a statistically significant response rate based on employee count. Survey scores account for employer size to level the playing field between small and large businesses. All companies had to have minimum of 10 employees and to be U.S.-based, privately held, and independent – that is, not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies.

While researching the entries, Inc. and Quantum saw distinct themes develop:

Strong company cultures breed stunning individual and team performance. Workers at the best companies don’t view their employers as sugar daddies. They aren’t mesmerized by whatever giveaways seem to be the latest fad—be it gourmet lunches or beer fridges. When employees feel valued by their organization, they are far more likely to be engaged. This single factor proved to be one of the largest drivers of employee engagement.

“By including an employee survey into this year’s Best Workplaces selection process, we’ve really raised the bar. Companies that don’t score at the very top of their peer group don’t make the cut. So, our hats are off to the winners. They all excelled at engaging their workers, making them feel appreciated, and aligning them behind a mission. And remember, that’s not just our opinion: The employees told us that themselves.” says James Ledbetter, Inc. editor-in-chief.

Live on Kickstarter, Bull Horn Brand introduces the Legends Line to honor and celebrate baseball legends.

CHICAGO (PRWEB) May 24, 2018

Bull Horn Brand, the innovative new apparel brand, is launching an all new Legends Line which seeks to celebrate and honor baseball legends. The company is currently live on global crowdfunding platform Kickstarter and raising funds to bring the project to life.

The crack of a bat, the smell of leather gloves and sitting in the stands on a hot summer evening; all sights and sounds that evoke special memories in baseball fans worldwide. With its Legends Line, Bull Horn Brand has created a truly special collection sure to inspire baseball fans of all ages.

“We are going to create a line of tee shirts that honor and celebrate our baseball legends. Whether they are a hero from your childhood or a modern marvel-maker, we want to bring that passion to life. We have two legends onboard and a couple more on-deck (pun intended), but we are trying to raise as much money as possible to bring many more players or managers to The Legends Line,” says founder and creative director Todd Houser on the inspiration behind the project. “We are going to honor and celebrate baseball legends like Fergie Jenkins and Bill ‘Mad Dog’ Matlock with many more to follow including military heroes and sports legends lines of the future.”

To launch the Legends Line, Bull Horn Brand has selected to honor the legendary Chicago Cubs pitcher Fergie Jenkins. In a professional career that spanned nearly 20-years, Jenkins was a Cy Young winner, a 3-time All Star with 284 wins and one of only 4 major league pitchers to end his career with more than 3,000 strikeouts and fewer than 1,000 walks. With a larger than life persona and an inspiring life story to many, Fergie Jenkins was also inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1991.

In addition to the Legends Line of Fergie Jenkins t-shirts, exclusive crowdfunding perks are available to backers including a meet-and-greet with Jenkins himself and even a front row ticket to a Legends Iron-Chef style cook off between Jenkins and the founder of Bull Horn Brand.

"Bull Horn Brand, is a Collective Culture company. We see so much similarity in different cultures, cliques, groups, passions, and people’s backgrounds. It is in those commonalities of thought that BHB was created to bridge or blur those lines,” adds Houser. “A Bull Horn Brand ambassador more than likely has multiple heads and passions. If you are Bull Horn Brand, then our guess is you get being more than a singular thing. We are about fellow Bull Horners understanding each other, it’s a handshake, a subtle nod, or getting a beer, because you both know you are both a part of this Collective Culture.”

The Bull Horn Brand Legends Line is currently live and available to support on Kickstarter: https://kck.st/2x7uhXH

The net asset value (NAV) of a closed-end fund is the market value of the underlying
investments (i.e., stocks and bonds) in the Fund’s portfolio, minus liabilities, divided by the total number of Fund shares outstanding. However, the Fund also has a market price; the value at which it trades on an exchange. If the market price is above the NAV the Fund is trading at a premium. If the market price is below the NAV the Fund is trading at a discount.

Performance returns for the Fund are total returns, which includes dividends, and are net of management fees and other Fund expenses. Returns are calculated assuming that a shareholder reinvested all distributions. Past performance cannot predict future investment results.

Performance will fluctuate with changes in market conditions. Current performance may be lower or higher than the performance data shown. Performance information shown does not reflect the deduction of taxes that shareholders would pay on Fund distributions or the sale of Fund shares. Shareholders must be willing to tolerate significant fluctuations in the value of their investment. An investment in the Fund involves risk, including loss of principal.

Sources of distributions to shareholders can include ordinary dividends, long-term capital gains and return of capital. The actual amounts and sources of the amounts for tax reporting purposes will depend upon the Fund’s investment experience during its fiscal year and may be subject to changes based on tax regulations. If a distribution includes anything other than net investment income, the Fund provides a Section 19(a) notice of the best estimate of its distribution sources at that time. These estimates may not match the final tax characterization (for the full year’s distributions) contained in shareholders’ 1099-DIV forms after the end of the year.

The Liberty All-Star Equity Fund is a closed-end fund and does not continuously offer shares. The Fund trades in the secondary market, investors wishing to buy or sell shares need to place orders through an intermediary or broker by using the Fund’s ticker symbol: USA. Secondary market support provided to the Fund by ALPS Fund Services, Inc.’s affiliate ALPS Portfolio Solutions Distributor, Inc., a FINRA member.

PROMOTE, a non-profit that develops “innovative national security leaders and organizations that leverage inclusive cultures and cognitive diversity,” is hosting a session focused on inclusive leadership and mentorship. The final session is a DoD Acquisition Primer taught by Mr. Chris Paddock, an Instructor at the Defense Acquisition University.

Another exciting addition to this year’s Symposium is a special “Strategy for Success” session on the evening of March 7th. This session, which is free to all Symposium attendees, starts with a one-hour seminar from Josh Tolley of Purple Monkey Garage--an organization that helps businesses reach their full potential. The seminar will be followed by rum-tasting with Kavana Rum and music from Blackbird Anthem.

All of the Symposium events will take place at The Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay for the first time in its five years. Conveniently located near the Tampa’s international airport, this waterfront venue provides ample opportunity to conduct business, build relationships, and learn--all while enjoying Florida’s beautiful spring season.

The event host is the Global Special Operations Forces (SOF) Foundation, the only professional association for the international SOF community. This three-day Symposium is the Foundation’s flagship event and will also feature high-level speakers, networking opportunities, and two different expo spaces for industry participation.

Don’t miss this rare opportunity to join the global SOF community in Tampa, Fl., from March 5-7 2019. Register today at http://bit.ly/19GS-Register.

The Global Special Operations Forces (SOF) Foundation (GSF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that aims to build and grow an international network of military, government, commercial, and educational stakeholders in order to advance SOF capabilities and partnerships to confront global and networked threats.
